Check Presentation 2014

The 8th Annual Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out raised $80,000 for the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.  Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out committee members proudly presented the check to Mrs. Joyce Murtha, Patty Felton and Dr. Craig.

Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out®benefits the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center (JMBCC) at Windber Medical Center (WMC). WMC is a nonprofit, community health care provider dedicated to providing excellence in personalized, quality health care services through innovation, research and education in response to community needs. Due to the JMBCC’s partnership with Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out®  patients have been provided with financial assistance for breast imaging examinations; breast biopsies and surgeries; genetic testing; and services related to hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndromes. Donations also support equipment and technology needed to screen, detect and diagnose breast cancer, ensuring access to the most up-to-date technology for the women of our community, close to home.

On May 27, 2014 a check for $80,000 was presented to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.
